The myth of the one-year Tourist Visa from Philippines to Australia lives on, as does the desire to use a tourist visa so you can live together as a de facto couple without the expense and hard work of preparing and lodging a Partner Visa application, either based on a marriage or based on a de facto relationship. The truth is there is no way you will get a 12 month visitor visa from Manila, and you should not even try.

Tourist visas are designed for those who wish to do tourist things, or to visit friends and family. This can include visiting your boyfriend, fiancee or spouse, but it is with the understanding that you are a genuine temporary entrant and will leave again at the end of the stay. And a multiple entry tourist visa is not a 1 year tourist visa either, and you can find it cancelled if you try to stay too often and return again too early. You should consider a partner visa if yu can't stand being apart.
