An Australian Tourist Visa cancelled! A multiple-entry tourist visa cancelled at the airport when the Filipina visa holder was returning to Philippines. She had overstayed by four days. An honest mistake with no bad intentions. But a sound warning to read the visa grant letter very carefully and to take careful note of the important dates.
Down Under Visa always advise a careful reading of essential dates on grant letters and to absolutely avoid any overstaying. The consequences in this case are a mother being stuck overseas in Philippines unable to return, while her partner and children remain in Australia. Fortunately we were successful in organising a further tourist visa application, and she will now be on her way back to Australia. Border Force are the policing arm of the Department of Home Affairs, and are not known for their flexibility.
